AoE2: DE is one of the Microsoft games that has absolutely been what the players wanted and has gone from strength to strength. Almost nothing but good changes, and consistently impressive care and respect for the nostalgic legacy project that it is. Top quality work. If you can play it, I thoroughly recommend you do, especially if you loved it
Age of Empires 2 offers campaigns for the same price. No, it's not a good bargain at all. The AOE3 DE team is not comparable to the AOE2 DE team at all- one has been screwing up alot, while the other seems to almost never miss a mark. Shame too, because I generally find 3 to be more interesting to play.
